Karyn Cecilia Velez was a Filipino-American badminton player who competed in international level events.

Salvador Sánchez Narváez was a Mexican boxer born in the town of Santiago Tianguistenco, Estado de México. Sanchez was the WBC and lineal featherweight champion from 1980 to 1982. Many of his contemporaries as well as boxing writers believe that had it not been for his premature death, Sánchez could have gone on to become the greatest featherweight boxer of all time. Sánchez died on August 12, 1982 in a car accident from Querétaro to San Luis Potosí. He is also the uncle of Salvador Sánchez II.

Albert Agarunovich Agarunov is a National Hero of Azerbaijan and Starshina of the Azerbaijani Army who died during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. He was among Azerbaijanis defending Shusha, which was captured by Armenian forces during the Battle of Shusha on May 9, 1992.

The Supreme Court of the Republic of China sentenced him to 4 death sentences for homicide and an additional 144 years and 6 months in prison.

Ramin Hossein-Panahi was an Iranian Kurdish man who was sentenced to death by the Iranian government for taking up arms against Iranian security forces in what Amnesty International alleged a "grossly unfair trial" marred by "serious torture allegations". He was executed on September 8, 2018.
