He became the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus following the collapse of the coalition government of Tufan Erhürman in May 2019 and served until his own election as President. Nazi leader Adolf Hitler may have used look-alikes as political decoys, though there is no evidence that he did so during his life. The Soviet Union variously claimed that bodies resembling Hitler were found in the aftermath of the Battle of Berlin, during which Hitler committed suicide. The most prominent evidence is Soviet footage of a body identified as Gustav Weler, found in the garden of the Reich Chancellery. Weler was said to have worked in the Reich Chancellery, perhaps as a cook. Conspiracy theorists have cited this body double as an example of alleged evidence that Hitler escaped Germany.

Israel the Grammarian
Israel the Grammarian was one of the leading European scholars of the mid-tenth century. In the 930s, he was at the court of King Æthelstan of England (r. 924–39). After Æthelstan's death, Israel successfully sought the patronage of Archbishop Rotbert of Trier and became tutor to Bruno, later the Archbishop of Cologne. In the late 940s Israel is recorded as a bishop, and at the end of his life he was a monk at the Benedictine monastery of Saint-Maximin in Trier.
