Cass Gilbert was a prominent American architect. An early proponent of skyscrapers, his works include the Woolworth Building, the United States Supreme Court building, the state capitols of Minnesota, Arkansas and West Virginia; and the Saint Louis Art Museum and Public Library. His public buildings in the Beaux Arts style reflect the optimistic American sense that the nation was heir to Greek democracy, Roman law and Renaissance humanism. Gilbert's achievements were recognized in his lifetime; he served as president of the American Institute of Architects in 1908–09.
Heitor Pereira
Heitor Teixeira Pereira, or Heitor TP, is a Brazilian composer, who played with Simply Red and several famous musicians, like Elton John, Rod Stewart, k.d. lang, Milton Nascimento and Jack Johnson; and currently works as a film music composer as well as a musician at Hans Zimmer's studio. Although primarily a guitarist, he also provided backing vocals live for the Simply Red song "Thrill Me".
Xu Chen
Xu Chen is a badminton player from China. In 2010, he was ranked within the top 10 men's badminton doubles in the world. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the mixed doubles with Ma Jin, winning the silver medal. In the final they lost to Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, also from China. He married a former Chinese national badminton team player, Pan Pan on 3 June 2014.
