As a result of the ongoing 2020 Malaysian political crisis, Mahathir's abrupt resignation on 24 February 2020 led to Muhyiddin being declared Prime Minister by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on 29 February 2020. He was formally appointed and sworn in on 1 March 2020 shortly before becoming prominent in Malaysia's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andrew Jay Hinch is an American professional baseball coach and former player who is the manager of the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball. He won the World Series in 2017 as the manager of the Houston Astros. Before joining the Astros, Hinch played catcher for the Oakland Athletics (1998–2000), Kansas City Royals (2001–2002), Detroit Tigers (2003), and Philadelphia Phillies (2004), managed the Arizona Diamondbacks, and was vice president of professional scouting for the San Diego Padres.
