Competing in the Spanish Alfus-Tedes amateur team, he won in Week Aragonesa1. He returned to Mexico in 2006 to compete for the Continental team Chivas Cycling Team and a year later Tecos-Trek. In 2008 he was Mexican road champion and he won the silver medal at the Pan American Cycling Championships, also in testing rout.
