Leung Kwok-hung, also known as "Long Hair" (長毛), is a Hong Kong politician and social activist. He was a member of the Legislative Council, representing the New Territories East. A Trotskyist in his youth, he was a founding member of the Revolutionary Marxist League. He became a political icon with his long hair and Che Guevara T-shirt in the protests before he was elected to the Legislative Council in 2004. In 2006, he co-founded a social democratic party, the League of Social Democrats (LSD) of which he was the chairman from 2012 to 2016.

Derek Alfred Aucoin was a Major League Baseball pitcher. Aucoin pitched in two games for the Montreal Expos in the 1996 season. He had a 0–1 record, in 2.2 innings, with a 3.38 ERA. He died from brain cancer on 26 December 2020.

Johanna König was a German actress. She appeared in more than 50 films and television shows between 1952 and 1999. König was born in Leipzig, Germany and died in Berlin on 3 March 2009.

Youri Kayembre Kalenga is a Congolese-French professional boxer. He is the former WBA interim Cruiserweight champion.

Fiorenza Liza Elly Purnamasari is an Indonesian presenter, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2011 and represented her country at the Miss International 2012 pageant.

Klawdziy Stsyapanavich Duzh-Dushewski was a Belarusian civil engineer, architect, diplomat and journalist. He is believed to be the creator of the Flag of Belarus in 1917.

Elizabeth Muriel Gregory "Elsie" MacGill, OC, known as the "Queen of the Hurricanes", was the world's first woman to earn an aeronautical engineering degree and was the first woman in Canada to receive a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. She worked as an aeronautical engineer during the Second World War and did much to make Canada a powerhouse of aircraft construction during her years at Canadian Car and Foundry (CC&F) in Fort William, Ontario. After her work at CC&F, she ran a successful consulting business. Between 1967 and 1970, she was a commissioner on the Royal Commission on the Status of Women in Canada, published in 1970.

Kenta Kobashi is a Japanese retired professional wrestler. Widely regarded as the greatest professional wrestler of all time, he started his career in All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) in 1988, where he became one of the promotion's top stars, holding the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship three times, and winning the Champion Carnival in 2000. Kobashi left All Japan in June 2000, taking part in a mass exodus led by Mitsuharu Misawa, which led to the formation of Pro Wrestling Noah. Kobashi worked for Noah for thirteen years, and became the longest reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion of all time, holding the championship for 735 days between 2003 and 2005, a record that stands to this day. He was a four-time world champion.

Nadezhda Valeryevna Skardino is a retired Belarusian biathlete. She represented Belarus at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. She won a bronze medal in the individual competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She won a gold medal in the 4×6 km relay at the 2018 Olympics In the 2017–2018 season Skardino won the Individual World Cup.

Vladimir Vladimirovich Gutenev is a Russian politician, lawmaker and member of the 7th State Duma of the Russian Federation. In 1990, he graduated from the Novocherkassk Engineering and Land-reclamation Institute and in 2004 he became a Doctor of Technical Sciences. From 2001 to 2009, he was a Professor in the Social and Environmental Systems Management Department at the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation. Between 2007-2009, Gutenev held the position of an Advisor to the General Director of the Rosoboronexport State Corporation.
