Antonio Candido de Mello e Souza was a Brazilian writer, professor, sociologist and literary critic. As a critic of Brazilian literature, he is regarded as having been one of the foremost scholars on the subject by Brazilian universities. He was the co-winner of the Prêmio Jabuti for essays in 1965 and was awarded the Prêmio Machado de Assis in 1993, the Camões Prize in 1998 and the Alfonso Reyes International Prize in 2005.

Vyacheslav Arkadevich "Slava" Bykov is a former Soviet and Russian ice hockey player and a former head coach of the Russian national hockey team. A small, technically gifted center, he was a regular fixture on the Soviet national ice hockey team in the 1980s; after the fall of the Soviet Union, he played for Team Russia in the 1990s. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft in the 9th round at number 169 overall. He opted, however, to never play in the NHL.

Janine Charrat was a French dancer and choreographer. She appeared in Ballerina at the age of 12, and went on to choreograph over 50 ballets. She was an officer of the Legion of Honour.

Étienne Didot is a French former professional footballer who primarily played as a centre midfielder. His brother Sylvain Didot is also a football player. Didot made over 400 appearances in Ligue 1 playing for Stade Rennais F.C., Toulouse FC, and En Avant de Guingamp.

Cristina Gutiérrez Herrero is a Spanish dentist and rally raid driver who in 2017 became the first Spanish female car driver to finish the Dakar Rally. In 2021 she was the second woman to win a stage in Dakar Rally history. She will participate in the upcoming Extreme E series, driving for Lewis Hamilton's Team X44.

Léo Joseph Paul Westermann is a French professional basketball player, who currently plays for Barcelona of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. Standing at 1.98 m, he plays the point guard position. He also represents the senior French national basketball team.
