Acie Law

Acie Law IV is an American former professional basketball player. In his four seasons at Texas A&M University, Law scored 1,653 points and was credited with 540 assists. Nicknamed "Captain Clutch" for his ability to take over the game late, Law is well known among Texas A&M Aggie basketball fans for "The Shot," his buzzer-beating 3-pointer to beat the arch-rival Texas Longhorns at Reed Arena on March 1, 2006, as well as for his play in the Aggies' 69–66 upset win against Kansas on February 3, 2007. Due to his contributions to Texas A&M, the Texas A&M athletic department hung Law's No. 1 jersey on the rafters in Reed Arena. He became the first Aggie in any sport to have the honor.

Philip Byron McKinnely is a former American football offensive tackle who played seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mainly for the Atlanta Falcons, and then in the United States Football League (USFL) for the Memphis Showboats and Birmingham Stallions. After retiring as a player, McKinnely became an American football official, working in college football's Southeastern Conference and NFL Europe before joining the NFL in 2002 as a head linesman. As an official, he wears uniform number 110 and was on the 2018 NFL officiating crew headed by referee Bill Vinovich that is famously known for a blatant non-call that would alter the course of the NFC Championship game, although he was replaced before the start of the game by Patrick Turner. McKinnely was not present in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome when the play happened. The missed pass interference call and helmet to helmet hit has called into question the league office’s integrity and stemming the wave of violent helmet hits to the head.

It was first published as The Negro Motorist Green Book and later as The Negro Travelers' Green Book. The books were published from 1936 to 1966. Green reviewed hotels and restaurants that did business with African Americans during the time of Jim Crow laws and racial segregation in the United States. He printed 15,000 copies each year.
