Johannes Ilberg was a German educator and classical philologist who was the author of numerous works on ancient Greek medicine. His father, Hugo Ilberg (1828-1883), was a gymnasium director, and his uncle, Friedrich von Ilberg (1858-1916), was a personal physician to Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Wilhelm von Bode was a German art historian and museum curator. Born Arnold Wilhelm Bode in Calvörde, he was ennobled in 1913. He was the creator and first curator of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, now called the Bode Museum in his honor, in 1904.

Ansgar Bethge was Inspector of the Navy from 1980 to 1985.

Ruth Fuchs is a German politician and former athlete. Fuchs, representing East Germany, was the winner of the women's javelin at the 1972 (Munich) and 1976 (Montreal) Olympic Games. She set the world record for the javelin six times during the 1970s.
