Alexander Salkind was a French-Mexican film producer, the second of three generations of successful international producers.

Paweł Poljański is a Polish former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2014 and 2020, for the Tinkoff and Bora–Hansgrohe teams. He rode in the 2014 Giro d'Italia. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Vuelta a España. In June 2017, he was named in the startlist for the 2017 Tour de France.

Hartmut Jörg Heinz Perschau was a German politician. He served as a candidate for three elections of the Hamburg Parliament, but Perschau had previously served as a member from 1974 to 1989. He served as a member of the European Parliament for Germany from 1989 to 1991.

Jacek Mariusz Starościak ( is a Polish politician who was the mayor of Gdańsk from 1990 to 1991.

Gustav Ferdinand Richard Radde was a German naturalist and Siberian explorer. Radde's warbler and several other species are named after him.

Friedrich Georg "Fritz" Houtermans was a Dutch-Austrian-German atomic and nuclear physicist born in Zoppot near Danzig, West Prussia to a Dutch father, who was a wealthy banker. He was brought up in Vienna, where he was educated, and moved to Göttingen when he was 18 to study. It was in Göttingen where he obtained his Ph.D. under James Franck. Houtermans made important contributions to geochemistry and cosmochemistry.
