Ferdinand von Richthofen
Baron Ferdinand Freiherr von Richthofen, better known in English as Baron von Richthofen, was a German traveller, geographer, and scientist. He is noted for coining the terms "Seidenstraße" and "Seidenstraßen" = "Silk Road(s)" or "Silk Route(s)" in 1877. He also standardized the practices of chorography and chorology. He was an uncle of the World War I flying ace Manfred von Richthofen, best known as the "Red Baron".
Joseph Jastrow
Joseph Jastrow was a Polish-born American psychologist, noted for inventions in experimental psychology, design of experiments, and psychophysics. He also worked on the phenomena of optical illusions, and a number of well-known optical illusions were either discovered or popularized in his work. Jastrow believed that everyone had their own, often incorrect, preconceptions about psychology. One of his goals was to use the scientific method to identify truth from error, and educate the layperson, which he did through speaking tours, popular print media, and radio.

Łukasz Kubot
Łukasz Kubot is a Polish professional tennis player. Kubot is a doubles specialist and won the 2014 Australian Open men's doubles title with Robert Lindstedt as well as the 2017 Wimbledon men's doubles title with Marcelo Melo. On January 8, 2018 he achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 1. He has also had success in singles, achieving a career-high singles ranking of World No. 41 in April 2010 and reaching the quarterfinals of the 2013 Wimbledon Championships. In 2013 he was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by Polish President Bronisław Komorowski.
Krystyna Skarbek
Maria Krystyna Janina Skarbek,, also known as Christine Granville, was a Polish agent of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) during the Second World War. She became celebrated for her daring exploits in intelligence and irregular-warfare missions in Nazi-occupied Poland and France. Journalist Alistair Horne, who described himself in 2012 as one of the few people still alive who had known Skarbek, described her as the "bravest of the brave." Spymaster Vera Atkins of the SOE described Skarbek as "very brave, very attractive, but a loner and a law unto herself."

Bolesław the Brave, less often known as Bolesław the Great, was Duke of Poland from 992 to 1025, and the first King of Poland in 1025. He was also Duke of Bohemia between 1002 and 1003 as Boleslaus IV.
