List of Famous people born in Poland

Zygmunt Hübner was a Polish actor, stage director, and director of the National Old Theatre in Krakow (1963-69). He appeared in more than 20 films between 1958 and 1988.

Andrzej Trzaskowski was a Polish jazz composer and musicologist. From the mid-1950s onward, he was regarded as an authority on syncopated music.

Radosław Majdan is a Polish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Józef Rufin Wybicki was a Polish nobleman, jurist, poet, political and military activist of Kashubian descent. He is best remembered as the author of "Mazurek Dąbrowskiego", which in 1927 was adopted as the Polish national anthem.

Mariusz Krzysztof Czerkawski is a Polish former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs. In addition to playing in the NHL, Czerkawski played for several different European-based teams. A consistent scorer, Czerkawski was the first player born and trained in Poland to play in the NHL. Internationally, Czerkawski represented Poland at several international tournaments, including the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 1992 and 2002 World Championships.

Ernst Alfred Cassirer was a German philosopher. Trained within the Neo-Kantian Marburg School, he initially followed his mentor Hermann Cohen in attempting to supply an idealistic philosophy of science.
