Hui Yin-fat, OBE, JP was a Hong Kong social worker and politician. He was a long-time director of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and was elected member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for Social Services, member of the Executive Council in 1991 and member of the Provisional Legislative Council.

Tong Yang-tze, also known as Grace Tong, is a Taiwanese artist. She is one of Taiwan’s foremost calligraphers. She is known for creating very large works in a very small studio.

Yongming Yanshou (904–975) was a prominent Buddhist monk during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period and early Song Dynasty in China.

Xie An (謝安) (320–385), courtesy name Anshi (安石), formally Duke Wenjing of Luling (廬陵文靖公), was a Jin Dynasty (265-420) statesman who, despite his lack of military ability, led Jin through a major crisis—attacks by Former Qin. In part due to his actions, his clan - the Xie clan of Chen - became one of the two most honored during the subsequent Southern Dynasties, alongside Wang Dao's Wang clan of Langya, and in the minds of the people no less honored than imperial clans.

Buren Bayaer was a Chinese singer, composer and journalist from Inner Mongolia. He was an ethnic Mongol.

Liu Cigui is a Chinese politician. He is the current Communist Party Secretary of Hainan province. His former positions include Governor of Hainan, Director of the State Oceanic Administration and China Coast Guard and Mayor of Xiamen and Longyan in Fujian province.

Teng Biao is a human rights activist and lawyer in China. Teng is a lecturer at the University of Politics and Law in Beijing. He has been a vocal supporter of human rights activists such as Chen Guangcheng and Hu Jia. He has been arrested at least twice, in March 2008 and in February 2011. He is currently a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School.

Chen Shulong is a former Chinese politician, and Executive Vice Governor of Anhui. He was dismissed from his position in November 2016 for investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Yi Ji, courtesy name Jibo, was an official serving in the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period of China. He previously served under the warlord Liu Biao in the late Eastern Han dynasty before coming to serve Liu Bei, the founding emperor of Shu Han. Yi Ji was known as an excellent debater and for advocating Liu Bei's movement through literature and essays. Yi Ji also helped write the Shu Ke (蜀科), the legal code of Shu, along with Zhuge Liang, Fa Zheng, Li Yan and Liu Ba.
