Ismail Amat was an Uyghur politician of China who served as Chairman (Governor) of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, State Councillor, Vice-Chairman of the National People's Congress and Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Xiaoliang Sunney Xie is a Chinese American biochemist, considered a founding father of single-molecule biophysical chemistry and single-molecule enzymology.

Zheng Xiaolong is a Chinese TV and film director and screenwriter.

Yu Dong is a Chinese film producer, and presenter. He is also the president of Polybona Films, a production company and film distributor, which has distributed and co-produced over 100 Chinese-language films, such as Confession of Pain, Dragon Tiger Gate, and Flash Point.

Chen Din-hwa, was a Hong Kong industrial tycoon, billionaire and philanthropist. He was known as the "King of Cotton Yarn" in Hong Kong.

Zhang Yu, courtesy name Shimei, was a Ming dynasty general. He was born in Kaifeng, Henan Province. He supported Zhu Di Prince of Yan in the Jingnan Campaign against the Jianwen Emperor. In December 1398, he gathered a force of 800 of Zhu Di's supporters to protect the Prince of Yan's residence in Beiping. On December 25, 1400, Zhang and Zhu arrived in Dongchang. Two weeks later, he was killed in action against Jianwen's forces led by Sheng Yong, while trying to break Zhu out of an encirclement that they had been lured into.

Consort Fu was an imperial consort during Han Dynasty. She was a consort and a favourite of Emperor Yuan. She was known to be a domineering woman who wanted her son on the throne, and, failing that, wanted her grandson on the throne as Emperor Ai. During Emperor Ai's reign, she exerted heavy and frequent influence on his reign, that made her powerful and dominant and forcibly extracted empress dowager titles that she should not have properly possessed – which would bring her hatred from the Wang clan and eventually the desecration of her tomb after her death.

Luo Changpei was a Chinese linguist. He made important contributions to the study of historical Chinese phonology. He was also a pioneer of the modern studies of Chinese dialects and of non-Chinese languages in China.

Dai Jitao or Tai Chi-t'ao was a Chinese journalist, an early Kuomintang member, and the first head of the Examination Yuan of the Republic of China. He is often referred to as Dai Chuanxian or by his other courtesy name, Dai Xuantang.

Qiu Zhanxuan is a Chinese student activist and Marxist. Qiu was president of the Peking University Marxist Society, a Marxist study group, until 28 December 2018.
