Miao Ruilin is a former Chinese politician, best known for his term as Mayor of Nanjing. In November 2018 he was placed under investigation by the Communist Party of China's anti-corruption agency. At the time he was serving as vice governor of Jiangsu.

Walter Houser Brattain
Walter Houser Brattain was an American physicist at Bell Labs who, along with fellow scientists John Bardeen and William Shockley, invented the point-contact transistor in December 1947. They shared the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physics for their invention. Brattain devoted much of his life to research on surface states.
Drakpa Gyeltsen
Jetsun Dragpa Gyaltsen (1147–1216) was a Tibetan spiritual leader and the third of the Five Sakya Patriarchs of Tibet. He was also the guru of the famous Sakya Pandita.
Gu Chaohao
Gu Chaohao was a Chinese mathematician. He graduated from National Chekiang University in 1948, and received a doctorate in physics and mathematical science from Moscow University in 1959. He was primarily engaged in research on partial differential equations, differential geometry, solitons, and mathematical physics. He served as vice president of Fudan University and from 1988 to 1993 as president of the University of Science and Technology of China. In 1980, he was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received the Highest Science and Technology Award in 2009.

Zhou Jianren
Zhou Jianren was a politician and biologist of the People's Republic of China. He was the younger brother of Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren. When the office of the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was vacant in 1976, Zhou was one of the 20 vice chairmen who administered the position. He also served as the chairman of China Association for Promoting Democracy and the governor of Zhejiang Province. He was a member of the 10th and 11th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China.

Yuan Geng

He was an early proponent of China's reform and opening up, and went on to create Shekou Industrial Zone, China International Marine Containers, CSG Holding, China Merchants Bank, and Ping An Insurance.
