Sun-Yung Alice Chang is a Taiwanese American mathematician specializing in aspects of mathematical analysis ranging from harmonic analysis and partial differential equations to differential geometry. She is the Eugene Higgins Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University.

Empress Xiaozheyi, of the Manchu Bordered Yellow Banner Arute clan, was a posthumous name bestowed to the wife and empress consort of Zaichun, the Tongzhi Emperor. She was Empress consort of Qing from 1872 until her husband's death in 1875, after which she was honoured as Empress Jiashun.

Bi Jingquan is a Chinese politician who was director of the China Food and Drug Administration from 2015 to 2018. After the office was merged into the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) in March 2018, he has was the party secretary of SAMR. He was formerly a deputy secretary-general of the State Council and vice-president of the China Consumer Association.

Chang Jen-hu, or J. H. Chang was a Taiwanese educator, geographer specialized in ancient climate change, and the agricultural development of mainland China and Taiwan. Chang was the chairman of the board of directors of Chinese Culture University.

Yu Yang is a badminton player from the People's Republic of China. She won at the 2013 World Championships in women's doubles with her partner Wang Xiaoli. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Wang Xuan, born in Wuxi, Jiangsu, was a Chinese computer scientist and businessman. He was a computer application specialist and innovator of the Chinese printing industry, as well as an academician at both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He was the vice-president of the CPPCC and founder of the major technology conglomerate company Founder Group in 1986.

Marquis Zeng Jize was a Qing dynasty Chinese diplomat. As one of China's earliest ministers to London, Paris and Saint Petersburg, he played an important role in the diplomacy that preceded and accompanied the Sino-French War.

Ban Gu was a Chinese historian, politician, and poet best known for his part in compiling the Book of Han, the second of China's 24 dynastic histories. He also wrote a number of fu, a major literary form, part prose and part poetry, which is particularly associated with the Han era. A number of Ban's fu were collected by Xiao Tong in the Wen Xuan.

Ray Jui Wu was a Chinese-born American geneticist. A pioneer of plant genetic engineering, Wu was Liberty Hyde Bailey Professor of Molecular Genetics and Biology at Cornell University.

Han Yu, courtesy name Tuizhi, was a Chinese prose writer, poet, and government official of the Tang dynasty who significantly influenced the development of Neo-Confucianism. Described as "comparable in stature to Dante, Shakespeare or Goethe" for his influence on the Chinese literary tradition, Han Yu stood for strong central authority in politics and orthodoxy in cultural matters.
