Dorothy Dwan
Dorothy Dwan was an American film actress. She appeared in 40 films between 1922 and 1930, several of which were directed by her second husband, Larry Semon. Born Dorothy Ilgenfritz in Sedalia, Missouri, she married three times. She had one child, a son, Paul, by her marriage to Paul Northcutt Boggs Jr. Dwan died in Ventura, California from lung cancer, aged 74.
Steve Gerber
Stephen Ross Gerber was an American comic book writer best known for co-creating the satiric Marvel Comics character Howard the Duck and a character-defining run on Man-Thing, one of their monster properties. Other notable works include Omega the Unknown, Marvel Spotlight: "Son of Satan", The Defenders, Marvel Presents: "Guardians of the Galaxy", Daredevil and Foolkiller. Gerber was known for including lengthy text pages in the midst of comic book stories, such as in his graphic novel, Stewart the Rat. Gerber was posthumously inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2010.
John Gregory Betancourt
John Gregory Betancourt is an American writer of science fiction, fantasy and mystery novels, as well as short stories. He is also known as the founder and publisher, with his wife Kim Betancourt, of Wildside Press in 1989. In 1998, they entered the print on demand (PoD) market and greatly expanded their production. In addition to publishing new novels and short stories, they have undertaken projects to publish new editions of collections of stories that appeared in historic magazines.
