Cox had previously played basketball for Oklahoma State University in the Big 12 Conference and, standing at 211 cm, is the tallest player to ever be measured at an AFL Draft Combine.

Preckwinkle was a candidate for Mayor of Chicago in the 2019 election, and advanced to the runoff election on April 2, which she lost to Lori Lightfoot.
