Sir Horace James Seymour was a British diplomat who served in Washington, D.C., Tehran, the Hague, Rome, and Chungking. He was Principal Private Secretary to the British Foreign Secretary and Assistant Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign Office. His most senior appointment was as British Ambassador to China from 1942 to 1946.

Comte Pierre Louis Roederer was a French politician, economist, and historian, politically active in the era of the French Revolution and First French Republic. Roederer's son, Baron Antoine Marie Roederer (1782–1865), also became a noted political figure.

Alberto Marson was a Brazilian basketball player. He competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. There, he won the bronze medal with the men's national basketball team. He was born in São Paulo in 1925. Marson died in April 2018 at the age of 93.

Benedetto "Bettino" Craxi was an Italian politician, leader of the Italian Socialist Party from 1976 to 1993 and Prime Minister of Italy from 1983 to 1987. He was the first Italian Socialist Party member to become Prime Minister and the third from a socialist party to hold the office. He led the third-longest government in the Italian Republic and he is considered one of the most powerful and prominent politicians of the so-called First Republic.

Élisabeth de Mac Mahon née Elisabeth Charlotte Sophie de la Croix de Castries was the wife of the President of France Patrice de MacMahon.

Ivan Romilly Moffat was a British screenwriter, film producer and socialite who, with Fred Guiol, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for adapting Edna Ferber's eponymous novel into the film Giant (1956). Moffat was the grandson of actor-manager Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree.
