Abdelhakim Serrar is an Algerian former professional football player who won the African Nations Cup in 1990 and is one of a few that won the Afro-Asian Cup for both club and country. Serrar played as a central defender throughout his career for Entente sportive de Sétif. He is currently the president of ES Sétif, and since his presidency the club has been arguably one of the best teams in the division, if not the best. He retired from football on 1 July 1991 at the age of 30.

Margaret Mazzantini is an Italian-Irish writer and actress. She became a film, television and stage actor, but is best known as a writer. Mazzantini began her acting career in 1980 starring in the cult horror classic Antropophagus, she has also appeared in television and theatre. As a successful writer, her novels include Non ti muovere which was adapted into a film of the same name and is directed by her husband Sergio Castellitto and stars Penélope Cruz. Her career as a writer and actress has earned her several awards and nominations including Campiello Awards, a Golden Ticket Award, and a Goya Award.

At the club level, he spent his entire senior career with JS Kabylie with whom he won the African Cup of Champions Clubs twice in 1981 and 1990.
