George Akiyama was a Japanese manga artist known for dealing with controversial and incendiary topics in many of his works. He was born the second boy of five siblings. He had an older brother and older sister, as well as a younger brother and younger sister. His father was Korean and an artificial flower craftsman.

William Howard Ashton, known professionally as Billy J. Kramer, is an English pop singer. In the 1960s he was managed by Brian Epstein, who also managed the Beatles, and he recorded several original Lennon–McCartney compositions.

Mie Hama is a Japanese actress most known outside Japan for having played Kissy Suzuki in the 1967 James Bond film You Only Live Twice.

Kalpana, born Sharat Lata, was an Indian Kannada film actress. She was affectionately referred to as Minugu Taare among the film fraternity. She was widely recognised as one of the greatest actresses of Kannada cinema who enjoyed both fan following and critical acclaim. She made her screen debut as a lead actress in the 1963 release Saaku Magalu directed by veteran B. R. Panthulu. During a career that spanned from the early 1960s to the late 1970s, Kalpana appeared in numerous commercially successful as well as critically appreciated films, many of which featured her alongside actor Rajkumar. She worked in a few Tamil, Tulu, Malayalam and Telugu films as well. Many of her successful films were female-centric, giving ample scope for her performance.

Muhammad Taqi Usmani, is a Pakistani Islamic scholar and former judge who is the president of the Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia and the vice president and Hadith professor of the Darul Uloom Karachi. An intellectual leader of the Deobandi movement, he has authored 143 books in Urdu, Arabic and English, including a translation of the Qur'an in both English and Urdu as well a 6-volume commentary on the Sahih Muslim in Arabic, Takmilat Fath al-Mulhim and Uloomu-l-Qur'an. He has written and lectured extensively on hadith, and Islamic finance. He chairs the Shariah Board of the Bahrain-based Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). He is also a permanent member of the Jeddah-based International Islamic Fiqh Academy, an organ of the OIC.

Valeri Mikhailovich Khlevinsky was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor and theater teacher. He was awarded the People's Artist of Russia in 2002. He was born in Dzerzhinsk, and died, aged 77, in Moscow.
