Alprentice "Bunchy" Carter was an American activist. Carter is credited as a founding member of the Southern California chapter of the Black Panther Party. Carter was shot and killed by a rival group, and is celebrated by his supporters as a martyr in the Black Power movement in the United States. Carter is portrayed by Gaius Charles in the 2015 TV series Aquarius.

Jean Jourden is a retired French cyclist. As an amateur he won the road race at the 1961 UCI Road World Championships. In 1965 he turned professional and competed until 1972. He won several minor races and rode the Tour de France in 1968 and 1969. His brother Henri was also a cyclist.

Dr. Jürgen Schade was president of the Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt (DPMA) for 7 years, from 2001 to 31 December 2008. He studied theology and obtained a PhD in law, before starting to work in 1977 at the Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt.

Ernest Preston Manning is a Canadian politician. He was a founder and the only leader of the Reform Party of Canada, a Canadian federal political party that evolved into the Canadian Alliance which in turn merged with the Progressive Conservative Party to form today's Conservative Party of Canada. Manning represented the federal constituency of Calgary Southwest in the Canadian House of Commons from 1993 until his retirement in 2002. He served as Leader of the Official Opposition from 1997 to 2000.
