Enrique Castellón Vargas, better known as El Príncipe Gitano was a Spanish flamenco singer, actor and dancer. He was the brother of rumba singer Dolores Vargas "La Terremoto".

Carmen Silva, who was often credited as Carmem Silva, was a Brazilian television, stage and film actress. She was best known in recent years for her role on the Brazilian telenovela, Mulheres Apaixonadas in which she played Flora de Souza Duarte, the wife of Leopoldo Duarte. Mulheres Apaixonadas was created by Manoel Carlos.

Arturo Toscanini was an Italian conductor. He was one of the most acclaimed musicians of the late 19th and of the 20th century, renowned for his intensity, his perfectionism, his ear for orchestral detail and sonority, and his eidetic memory. He was at various times the music director of La Scala in Milan and the New York Philharmonic. Later in his career he was appointed the first music director of the NBC Symphony Orchestra (1937–54), and this led to his becoming a household name through his radio and television broadcasts and many recordings of the operatic and symphonic repertoire.

Izaskun Uranga Amézaga is a Spanish musician, who with her two sisters Estibaliz Uranga and Amaya Uranga formed the group "Las Hermanas Urangas", which became "Voces y Guitarras" and, in 1969, the well-known Spanish folk group Mocedades.

Pauline Marois is a Canadian politician, who served as the premier of Quebec from 2012 to 2014, the 30th since Confederation. Marois had been a member of the National Assembly in various ridings since 1981 as a member of the Parti Québécois (PQ), serving as party leader from 2007 to 2014. She is the first female premier of Quebec.
