Lev Alexandrovich Anninsky was a Soviet and Russian literary critic, historian, publicist, essayist and author of more than 30 books. He was also a scriptwriter, and as such the three times TEFI laureate.

Dan Alon was an Israeli fencer. He competed in the individual foil event at the 1972 Summer Olympics, at the age of 27. He was placed fourth in round one with three wins and two losses and advanced to round two. There, he placed fifth with two wins and three losses, and was eliminated.

Iván Calderón Marrero is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2012. He is a two-weight world champion, having held the WBO mini flyweight title from 2003 to 2007, and the WBO, Ring magazine, and lineal light flyweight titles from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, his August 2010 bout against Giovani Segura was named fight of the year by Ring magazine. As an amateur Calderón represented Puerto Rico in international competitions, including the 2000 Olympics.

Hideko Takamine was a Japanese actress who began as a child actress and maintained her fame in a career that spanned half a century. She is particularly known for her collaborations with director Mikio Naruse.

Pierre Milza was a French historian. His work focused mainly on the history of Italy, the history of Italian immigration to France and the history of fascism, of which he was a recognized specialist.

Luis Oscar Fulloné Arce, better known as Oscar Fulloné was an Argentine football coach and player. He played for Independiente Medellín and Real Oviedo before moving to England to play for Aston Villa in 1967. Known as Oscar Arce during his time in England he remained in the country following his retirement from playing and was a coach for both Sheffield United and Sunderland. He became manager of Swiss side FC Sion in 1980 before going on to become one of the most successful African club managers.

Maurice Rajsfus was a French writer, journalist, historian and anti-establishment militant. He was the author of numerous books addressing themes such as the Jewish genocide in France, the police, and attacks on civil liberties.

Gallieno Ferri was an Italian comic book artist and illustrator. He was born in Genoa.

Klaus Wolfermann is a former West German javelin thrower. He won a gold medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich and set a world record in 1973.
