From October 2000 until October 2006 she was official spokesperson and Balkan adviser to Carla Del Ponte, chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague.

Mario Eduardo Firmenich is a former Argentinian urban guerrilla leader and political terrorist. He was one of the commanders of Montoneros group and the most significant figure in the Argentinian guerrillas in the 70s. In 1987, He was sentenced to life in prison for killing a businessman and attempting to murder multiple politicians in Argentina, but was pardoned by president Carlos Menem in 1990.
