Mary Murphy was an American film and television actress of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Evi Mittermaier is a German former alpine skier who competed in the 1976 Winter Olympics and 1980 Winter Olympics. She won two World Cup races and attained 7 podiums. She is the younger sister of double Olympic Champion, World Champion and World Cup winning alpine skier Rosi Mittermaier, sister in law of slalom specialist Christian Neureuther and aunt of world gold medalist Felix Neureuther. According to David Coleman who was commentating her sister Rosi's entry in the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, she used to live in a hotel.

Sabir Umaruly Rakhimov was an Red Army Major general and Hero of the Soviet Union. Rahimov fought in World War II and commanded the 37th Guards Rifle Division from November 1944. Rahimov was killed by shrapnel from an artillery shell in Gdańsk during the East Pomeranian Offensive. During the Soviet period Rakhimov was considered national hero, as he was the first Red Army general officer from Uzbekistan. Metro stations, streets, schools and other places in Uzbekistan were named after Rakhimov. However, these were all renamed during 2010 and 2011 as part of a campaign by Islam Karimov to remove Soviet influence.

Douglas William Woog was an American ice hockey coach and broadcaster. He was a member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame, inducted in 2002. Woog was coach of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers ice hockey team from 1985 to 1999. He was assistant coach of the 1984 U.S. Olympic ice hockey team.

Mauricio Affonso Prieto is an Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a forward for South African side Mamelodi Sundowns FC.

Nicolaus Reusner was a German jurist and publisher. He was born into a family of wealthy German landowners in Löwenberg, Silesia, who had recently moved there from Transylvania. Several members of his family became famous in the fields of law and medicine in the 16th century, including his brothers Bartholomäus von Reusner, Elias Reusner and Jeremias von Reusner (law). Reusner studied in Wittenberg and Leipzig, under Modestinus Pistoris, and Leonhard Badehorn. In Leipzig, imperial personal physician Georg Wirth (1524–1613) persuaded him to abandon medicine and study law.

Frank Shepard Fairey is an American contemporary street artist, graphic designer, activist, illustrator, and founder of OBEY Clothing who emerged from the skateboarding scene. He first became known for his "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" (...OBEY...) sticker campaign while attending the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Dame Freya Madeline Stark, was an Anglo-Italian explorer and travel writer. She wrote more than two dozen books on her travels in the Middle East and Afghanistan as well as several autobiographical works and essays. She was one of the first non-Arabs to travel through the southern Arabian Desert.

Sir Robert John Le Mesurier McClure was an Irish explorer of the Arctic who in 1854 traversed the Northwest Passage by boat and sledge and was the first to circumnavigate the Americas.

Marie Stritt (1855–1928) was a German feminist and a leading force in the international and German women suffrage movement. She worked towards woman's education and fought against state regulated prostitution. Marie Stritt worked for changes regarding divorce laws through the Woman's Legal Aid Society. She was a big supporter of birth control and abortion.
