Annie Steiner was an Algerian activist of the National Liberation Front. She was released in 1961.

Philip II, Metropolitan of Moscow
Saint Philip II of Moscow was a Russian Orthodox monk, who became Metropolitan of Moscow during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. He was one of a few Metropolitans who dared openly to contradict royal authority, and it is widely believed that the Tsar had him murdered on that account. He is venerated as a saint and martyr in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Eddy Tansil or Tan Tjoe Hong or Tan TJU Fuan is an Indonesian businessman of Chinese descent who bribed his way out of Cipinang Prison, Jakarta, on 4 May 1996 while serving a 17-year sentence for embezzling $420 million in loans from Bank Pembangunan Indonesia, which subsequently went bust and was amalgamated into Bank Mandiri.
Tuvya Ruebner
Tuvya Ruebner was an Israeli poet who wrote in Hebrew and German, and he also translated poems - from Hebrew into German and from German into Hebrew. In addition, he was the editor of numerous literary books, a scholar, a teacher, and a photographer. Ruebner was Emeritus Professor of German and Comparative Literature at Haifa University and Oranim College. The recipient of many literary awards in Israel, Germany and Austria, he was awarded the Israel Prize for Poetry in 2008 - the highest accolade the State of Israel bestows. The jury awarding that prize described Ruebner as "among the most important Hebrew poets", and his poetry as "restrained, polished and intellectual ... nourished by the ancient strata of Hebrew poetry and the best of the tradition of Central European poetry."

Samuel Willenberg
Samuel Willenberg, nom de guerre Igo, was a Polish Holocaust survivor, artist, and writer. He was a Sonderkommando at the Treblinka extermination camp and participated in the unit's planned revolt in August 1943. While 300 escaped, about 79 were known to survive the war. Willenberg reached Warsaw where, before war's end, he took part in the Warsaw Uprising. At his death, Willenberg was the last survivor of the August 1943 Treblinka prisoners' revolt.
