Eduard Meyer was a German historian. He was the brother of Celticist Kuno Meyer (1858–1919).

Michael Keck is a German badminton player. Keck clinched nine titles at the National Championships, won the first time in 1990. He was the bronze medallists at the 1996 European Championships, winning the mixed doubles event at the World Grand Prix tournament in 1997 Swedish Open. Keck has collected 65 caps for Germany and competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. His brother Markus Keck also a former German professional badminton player.

Moreover, Manin was one of the first to propose the idea of a quantum computer in 1980 with his book Computable and Uncomputable.

Oskars Melbārdis is Latvian bobsledder who has competed since 2006. He is the most successful bobsledder in the history of his country, who won one gold and two bronze Olympic medals. He also earned the first ever gold medal for Latvia at World Championships in Igls, preceded by one silver and two bronze medals in 2009-2015.
