Matsuda won the National Championships in the mixed doubles event in 1991 and 1995; and in the women's doubles event in 1996 and 1998.

Sami Yli-Sirniö is a Finnish musician. He is currently the lead guitarist of Finnish metal bands Waltari, Barren Earth and German thrash metal band Kreator.
