Carl Christopher Landry is an American former professional basketball player. The 6-foot-9-inch (2.06 m), all-conference power forward played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers from 2004 to 2007. He is the older brother of Shenita Landry and Marcus Landry.

Rafał Hawel is a Polish male badminton player from the SKB Piast Słupsk team. Hawel started his junior career as Technik Głubczyce player, and at the Polish Junior championships, he won the boys' singles and doubles title in 2002 and 2003. He also won the bronze medal at the 2003 European Junior Championships. In the senior event, he won the national championships in 2006 partnered with Przemysław Wacha in the men's doubles and in 2011 with Kamila Augustyn in the mixed doubles event.

Gale Arnot Brewer is the 27th and current Borough President of the New York City borough of Manhattan and a Democratic politician from the state of New York. She was a member of the New York City Council, where she represented the Upper West Side and the northern part of Clinton in Manhattan. She was elected Manhattan Borough President on November 5, 2013.
