Rie Kaneto
Rie Kaneto is a Japanese competitive swimmer who specializes in breaststroke events. She won the gold medal in the 200 meter breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Ana Marcela Cunha
Ana Marcela Jesus Soares da Cunha is a Brazilian swimmer, who specializes in the open water marathon. She is considered one of the best open water swimmers in the world, winning numerous meets for the 10 km marathon at the FINA World Cup series.
Masato Sakai
Masato Sakai is a Japanese swimmer who specializes in the men's 200 metre butterfly. He won the silver medal in the men's 200 metre butterfly event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Sakai was in 6th position at the 150 mark, and finished 0.04 seconds behind Michael Phelps.
Leisel Jones
Leisel Marie Jones, OAM is an Australian former competition swimmer and Olympic gold medallist. A participant in the 2000 Summer Olympics – at just 15 years old – and 2004 Summer Olympics, she was part of gold-medal-winning Australian team in the women's 4×100-metre medley relay at the Athens Games in 2004 and a gold medallist for 100-metre breaststroke in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
Gregorio Paltrinieri
Gregorio Paltrinieri is an Italian competitive swimmer. He is the Olympic and world long course and short course champion and three-times European long course champion in the 1500 m freestyle event at the 2012, 2014 and 2016 European Aquatics Championships, and two-times European long course champion in the 800 m freestyle event. Paltrinieri is the current 1500 m freestyle world record holder. He also holds the long course European records in the 800 m and 1500 m freestyle events with times of 7:39.27 and 14:33.10.
Stephanie Au
Stephanie Au Hoi-Shun is a swimmer from Hong Kong. She is a three-time Olympian, having represented Hong Kong at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the holder of Hong Kong national long course records in the 400 m, 800 m and 1500 m freestyle as well as 4×100 m medley relay, together with short course records in 400 m, 800 m and 1500 m freestyle, 4×100 m medley relay, and 4×100 m freestyle relay. She studied at Sacred Heart Canossian College. She swam for the University of California, Berkeley, from which she graduated with a degree in environmental economics and policy in 2014. She is also a winner of the 24th Hong Kong Outstanding Students Awards.
Ye Shiwen
Ye Shiwen is a Chinese swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she won gold medals in the 400 metres and 200 metres individual medley, breaking the world record in the 400 m event and the Olympic record in the 200 m event.
David McKeon
David McKeon is an Australian competition swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he competed in the men's 400-metre freestyle, finishing in 14th place in the heats, failing to reach the final.
Thiago Pereira
Thiago Machado Vilela Pereira is a retired Brazilian international competition swimmer. One of the greatest swimmers in the history of Brazil, Pereira won the silver medal in the 400-meter individual medley at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, beating the then-current Olympic champion Michael Phelps. He also broke a world record in the short course 200-meter individual medley, and broke several South American and Brazilian records. During his career, he competed with swimming legends Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte.
László Cseh
László Cseh is a Hungarian competitive swimmer and six-time Olympic medalist. He is a 33-time European Champion. His father, László Cseh Sr., also represented Hungary at the Olympics in swimming.
