Folk earned Pro Bowl honors in his rookie season with the Cowboys, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft, and is the Jets' second-leading scorer at 729 points. In addition to his NFL career, Folk played for the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF).

DaCosta starred in the Lifetime television film Whitney (2015) as singer Whitney Houston and received praise for her performance.
