His throne name was Alam Sagad, meaning "to whom the world bows". He was the son of Emperor Susenyos I and Empress Seltan Mogasa / ሥልጣን ሞገሳ or Wald Sa'ala/ወልድ ሠዓለ (name) of Wagda Katata and Merhabete. Emperor Fasilides was born at Magazaz in Bulga, Shewa, before 10 November 1603. His paternal grandfather's name was also Fasilides.

Jerome Storm was an American film director, actor, and writer. He acted in 48 films between 1914 and 1941 and directed 47 films between 1918 and 1932. He was born in Denver, Colorado, and died in Desert Hot Springs, California.
