Elizabeth Caroline Orton is an English singer-songwriter, known for her "folktronica" sound, which mixes elements of folk and electronica. She was initially recognised for her collaborations with William Orbit, Andrew Weatherall, Red Snapper and the Chemical Brothers in the mid-1990s. Her UK/US first solo album, Trailer Park, received much critical acclaim in 1996. Orton developed a devoted audience with the release of the BRIT Award-winning album Central Reservation (1999) and the 2002 UK top 10 album, Daybreaker. Her 2006 album, Comfort of Strangers, was followed by a break during which Orton gave birth to her daughter and collaborated with the British guitarist Bert Jansch. Orton returned with Sugaring Season in 2012, which moved towards a purer acoustic sound, followed by a return to electronic music with Kidsticks, released in 2016.

She is best known for her recurring role as Penelope Shafai on The CW's teen drama Gossip Girl (2008–12), for her role as Kimberly Andrews on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live (2009–11) and as Brook Lynn Quartermaine on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. She made her Off-Broadway debut in the comedy play Love, Loss, and What I Wore in late 2011, and was on the first half of season one of the Fox comedy The Mindy Project.

Alparslan Çelik is a Turkish Islamist-Nationalist Alperen Ocakları member. In 2014 he joined the Syrian Turkmen Brigades and fought against the Syrian Army. On 24 November, after Turkey shot down a Russian bomber jet, he allegedly killed the Russian pilot Oleg Peshkov. Çelik was detained in İzmir, Turkey on 31 March 2016. All charges against him were dropped on 9 May 2016. However the investigation was subsequently reopened in which he denied killing the pilot, instead insisting that he was killed by another group.
