Cornelis Gerhard Anton de Kom was a Surinamese resistance fighter and anti-colonialist author. He was arrested in Suriname and the protest against his arrest resulted in two deaths. De Kom was subsequently exiled to the Netherlands where he wrote Wij slaven van Suriname, a classic anti-colonial book. During World War II, he joined the resistance, was arrested, and sent to concentration camps where he died.

Frédéric Péchenard is a French police officer and high civil servant with the Ministry of the Interior. He has served as General Director of the French National Police from 11 June 2007 to May 2012.

On January 16, 2018 he resigned from office after his own Social Democratic Party retracted its political support for the government. On January 6, 2020 he resigned from Pro Romania Party and re-joined Social Democratic Party

Eilidh Doyle is a British track and field athlete who specialises in the 400 metres hurdles and the 4 x 400 metres relay. She represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and won an Olympic bronze medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
