Milan Sáblík is a Czech former speedskater and the younger brother of Martina Sáblíková, the 2007 European Champion and double World Single Distances Champion. Martina Sáblíková and Milan Sáblík are a rare example of sister and brother both holding world records in the same sport at the same time; Martina holds the (senior) world records in the 5,000-m and 10,000-m events, as well as in the 3,000m, while Milan held the junior world record for the team pursuit with fellow Czech junior skaters Pavel Kulma and Zdeněk Haselberger between 2007 and 2010.

Aino Elina Salo is a Finnish film, theatre and television actress who has also done work in radio as a voice actor in children’s programming. In her career that began in 1956, Salo has appeared in over 50 films and television shows but she is best known for her work in Aki Kaurismäki’s films. She has been awarded three Jussi Awards for her work. In 2010, she was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Commandeur). Elina was also Little My in the Finnish dub of Moomin.

Erwin Neher is a German biophysicist, specializing in the field of cell physiology. For significant contribution in the field, in 1991 he was awarded, along with Bert Sakmann, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for "their discoveries concerning the function of single ion channels in cells".

Priscilla Lawson, was an American actress best known for her role as Princess Aura in the original Flash Gordon serial (1936).

Rainer Wieland is a German politician and member of the European Parliament for Germany. He is a member of the Christian Democratic Union, part of the European People's Party.
