He was the founder of the hedge fund Scion Capital, which he ran from 2000 until 2008, before closing the firm to focus on his own personal investments. Burry was the first investor to recognize and profit from the impending subprime mortgage crisis.

Omar Sy is a French actor and comedian. Best known in his homeland for his sketches with Fred Testot on the Service après-vente des émissions television show on Canal+ (2005–2012), he gained fame abroad with the 2011 comedy-drama film The Intouchables, which earned him the César Award for Best Actor. Sy became the first Black recipient of the award. William Christopher "Dabo" Swinney is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Clemson University. Swinney took over as head coach of the Clemson Tigers football program midway through the 2008 season, following the resignation of Tommy Bowden. Swinney led the Tigers to national championships in 2016 and 2018. He trails only Frank Howard for the most wins by a head coach in Clemson history.

Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman al-Burhan is a Sudanese politician and Sudanese Army general who is currently serving as Chairman of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, the country's collective transitional head of state. Before assuming this role in August 2019, he was the de facto head of state of Sudan as Chairman of the Transitional Military Council after former Chairman Ahmed Awad Ibn Auf resigned and transferred control in April 2019.
