Thomas Francis Jr. was an American physician, virologist, and epidemiologist. Francis was the first person to isolate influenza virus in the United States, and in 1940 showed that there are other strains of influenza, and took part in the development of influenza vaccines.

Thomas O'Driscoll Hunter was an American actor known for work in Spaghetti Westerns and as a Hollywood screenwriter. He was also the founder of the New England Repertory Company.

Thomas Theodore Jefferson is an American former sprinter. He won a bronze medal in the 200 m at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Jefferson also won a bronze medal in the 4×100 m relay at the 1984 Universiade and placed fourth in the 200 m at the 1991 World Indoors Championships. He was ranked #3 in the world over 200 m in 1984.
