Peter Spears is an American actor, screenwriter and filmmaker. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. Spears is best known for being a producer on the critically acclaimed 2017 coming-of-age romantic drama film, Call Me by Your Name, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Spears also directed the controversial parodic short film, Ernest and Bertram, which portrayed Sesame Street characters Bert and Ernie as gay lovers; Spears received a cease-and-desist order from Sesame Workshop for copyright violations as a result. Spears helped to develop the television series Nightmare Café and John from Cincinnati.

Peter Scudamore MBE, often known as 'Scu', is a former jockey and trainer in National Hunt racing. He was an eight-time Champion Jockey, riding 1,678 winning horses in his career. He received an MBE for his services to the sport of horse racing.

In 1987, he set a record transfer fee in the English game and represented his country 59 times between 1986 and 1996, once as captain, taking part in two FIFA World Cups and UEFA Euro 1988. At club level, he played for Newcastle United, Liverpool and Everton, having also had spells with Carlisle United, Manchester United, Vancouver Whitecaps, Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City, Fulham, Hartlepool United and the Melbourne Knights. He was briefly appointed as the caretaker manager of Newcastle United in 2010.
