Peter Carey Nowell was a cancer researcher and co-discoverer of the Philadelphia chromosome. At the time of his death, he was the Gaylord P. and Mary Louise Harnwell Emeritus Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter Harlan was a German multi-instrumentalist and musical instrument maker. In the 1920s he was an employee of the Munich magazine Der Gitarrenfreund.

Peter Karel Alexander Vanvelthoven is a Belgian politician and member of the SP.A. He is the son of politician Louis Vanvelthoven. He became the Federal Minister for Employment, charged with the Informatisation of the State, in 2005 after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Budget Johan Vande Lanotte left the Federal Government to become the President of the Different Socialist Party (SP.A).

Peter Rice was an Irish structural engineer. Born in Dublin, he grew up in 52 Castle Road, Dundalk in County Louth, and spent his childhood between the town of Dundalk, and the villages of Gyles' Quay and Inniskeen. He was educated at Queen's University of Belfast where he received his primary degree, and spent a year at Imperial College, London. Rice acted as Structural Engineer on three of the most important architectural works of the 20th century: the Sydney Opera House, Pompidou Centre and the Lloyd's Building and was renowned for his innate ability to act as both engineer and designer.
