Marius Aventicensis
Marius Aventicensis or, popularly, Marius of Avenches was the Bishop of Aventicum from 574, remembered for his terse chronicle. After his death in Lausanne, he was venerated in that city as a saint, and his feast day was celebrated on 9 or 12 February.

Denis Marius Toudoire was a French architect. In particular, he built stations for the Compagnie des chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée (PLM), including the main stations: Paris Lyon to Paris, Bordeaux-Saint-Jean and Toulouse-Matabiau. He also realized the Grande Poste d'Alger.

Marius Plateau was a French engineer, WWI sergeant, and French Royalist militant. Plateau was an editor of Action Francaise and a former secretary general of the Camelots du Roi. In 1923, Plateau was assassinated by the French anarchist Germaine Berton, who was later acquitted.
