Hilda Hilst was a Brazilian poet, novelist, and playwright. She is lauded as one of the most important Portuguese-language authors of the twentieth century. Her work touches on the themes of mysticism, insanity, the body, eroticism, and female sexual liberation. Hilst greatly revered the work of James Joyce and Samuel Beckett and the influence of their styles like stream of consciousness and fractured reality in her own work.

Hilda Rosario Hernández Alvarado was an agronomy engineer and Honduran politician. She held posts in the nationalist governments of Ricardo Maduro, Porfirio Lobo Sosa and of her brother, Juan Orlando Hernández, current Honduran president. From January 2017 until her death she was political advisor to her brother in his campaign for re-election in the general election, 2017. There are also allegations that she never died and the press never showed evidence of the crashed helicopter. Some other say that Chapo Guzman sent to kill her due to her brother Juan Orlando ties with drug trafficking.

Hilda Eliana Tenorio Patiño is a Mexican bullfighter and matador. She was the first woman to receive her alternativa in the Plaza de Toros México, the largest bullring in the world, aged 24. Tenorio completed her alternativa on February 28, 2010. She has been an outspoken advocate of feminism in the sport. She is the third Mexican woman to attain the rank of matador.

Hilda Khalife is best known in the Arab world as a TV presenter. Despite her modeling career, Khalife's fame started in 2004 when she began hosting the first season of the pan-Arab televised talent show Star Academy Arab World on LBC, the Arabic adaptation of the French television show Star Academy produced by Netherlands company Endemol. She continued hosting the subsequent seasons of the show.

Hilda Rix Nicholas was an Australian artist. Born in the Victorian city of Ballarat, she studied under a leading Australian Impressionist, Frederick McCubbin, at the National Gallery of Victoria Art School from 1902 to 1905 and was an early member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. Following the death of her father in 1907, Rix, her only sibling Elsie and her mother travelled to Europe where she undertook further study, first in London and then Paris. Her teachers during the period included John Hassall, Richard Emil Miller and Théophile Steinlen.

Hilda Gobbi was an award-winning Hungarian actress, known for her portrayals of elderly women. One of her most beloved performances was as Aunt Szabo in the radio soap opera The Szabo Family. A resistance member during World War II, she attempted to facilitate the reconstruction of the National Theatre by sponsoring a fundraising drive. Committed to her craft, she founded the Árpád Horváth Actor's College (1947), a home to care for elderly actors named after Mari Jászai (1948), a second actor's home named after Árpád Ódry (1950), the Gizi Bajor Actor's Museum (1952), and bequeathed her Patkó Villa to the National Theater for the purposes of creating a theater.
