Francisco Ribeiro was a Portuguese cellist, composer, lyricist, vocalist, arranger and record producer. He was born and died in Lisbon, Portugal.

Francisco Guterres, popularly known as Lú-Olo, is an East Timorese politician who has been President of East Timor since 2017. He is also the President of Fretilin, and he was President of the National Parliament of East Timor from 2002 to 2007. As the Fretilin candidate, he stood in the 2007 presidential election and 2012 presidential election, but was defeated in the second round by independent candidates on both occasions. He also contested the 2017 presidential election, and with the support of former Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão and his party, National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT), he was elected as President.

Francisco Galdós Gauna is a Spanish former professional road racing cyclist. He finished second in the 1975 Giro d'Italia and 1979 Vuelta a España, third in 1972 Giro d'Italia, sixth in the 1976 Tour de France as well as an impressive fourth in the 1977 Tour de France

Francisco Fernández de Bobadilla was an official under the Crown of Castile and a knight of the Order of Calatrava. He was also the brother of doña Beatriz de Bobadilla, marquess of Moya and Peñalosa, the arch-enemy of Christopher Columbus and close friend to Queen Isabella. He was sent to the island of Hispaniola as a judge, where he arrested Columbus for supposed irregularities in the latter's government. He served as Viceroy from 1500 until 1502. He died at sea when his convoy was struck by a hurricane.

Francisco Robles Ortega is a Mexican prelate of the Catholic Church, a cardinal since 2007. He is the Archbishop of Guadalajara. Cardinal Robles had previously served as archbishop of Monterrey from 2003 to 2011. He is also, as of November 2012, the incoming president-elect of the Roman Catholic Mexican Episcopal (Bishops') Conference, to replace the outgoing president, Archbishop Carlos Aguiar Retes, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Tlalnepantla.
