Flora Sandes
Flora Sandes was a British woman who served as an officer of the Royal Serbian Army in World War I. She was the only British woman officially to serve as a soldier in WWI. Initially a St. John Ambulance volunteer, she travelled to the Kingdom of Serbia, where she was welcomed and formally enrolled in the Serbian army. She was subsequently promoted to the rank of Sergeant major, and, after the war, to Captain. She was decorated with seven medals.

Flora Mae Hunter
Flora Mae Hunter was an American cook and cookbook author. She was a longtime cook on plantations in northern Florida—in particular, cooking for 36 years at Horseshoe Plantation near Tallahassee, Florida. In 1979 she published a cookbook of recipes from her career cooking for the plantation's workers as well as the owners and guests, called Born in the Kitchen: Plain and Fancy Plantation Fixin's. In 1988 she was awarded a Florida Folk Heritage Award for her contributions to the "cultural resources" of the state.
Flora MacDonald
Flora Isabel MacDonald, was a Canadian politician and humanitarian. Canada's first female foreign minister, she was also one of the first women to vie for leadership of a major Canadian political party, the Progressive Conservatives. She became a close ally of Prime Minister Joe Clark, serving in his cabinet from 1979 to 1980, as well as in the cabinet of Prime Minister Brian Mulroney from 1984 to 1988. In her later life, she was known for her humanitarian work abroad. The City of Ottawa recognised MacDonald on July 11, 2018 by naming a new bicycle and footbridge over the Rideau Canal the Passerelle Flora Footbridge.

Flore Celestine Thérèse Henriette Tristán y Moscoso better known as Flora Tristan was a French-Peruvian socialist writer and activist. She made important contributions to early feminist theory, and argued that the progress of women's rights was directly related with the progress of the working class. She wrote several works, the best known of which are Peregrinations of a Pariah (1838), Promenades in London (1840), and The Workers' Union (1843).
