Elias Sunde was a Norwegian politician from the Liberal Party who served as Minister of Finance 1898–1900 and 1900–1903, and member of the Council of State Division in Stockholm from 1900-1901. He was also the mayor of Oslo from 1895 to 1897. He was the father of justice minister Arne Sunde.

Elias Katz was a Finnish track and field athlete, who competed mainly in the 3000 metres steeplechase.

Elias Xitavhudzi was a South African serial killer who murdered 16 men and women in Atteridgeville, South Africa, in the 1950s. Xitavhudzi targeted only whites in the then-strictly segregated community. His killing spree caused a local sensation during the peak years of South Africa's apartheid regime. Prior to his capture, he acquired the nickname "Pangaman".

Elias Tillandz (1640–1693), born Tillander, was a Swedish born doctor and botanist in Finland. He was the professor of medicine at the Academy of Turku. He wrote the country's first botanical work, the Catalogus Plantarum, which was first published in 1673. As a doctor he also prepared medicines for his patients by using his extensive knowledge of plants.
