Choe Ryong-hae is a North Korean politician and military officer who is serving as President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and First Vice Chairman of the State Affairs Commission since April 2019. He is also a member of the Presidium of the Politburo and Vice Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). He also served as Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un's military second-in-command. He is also father in law of Kim Jong-un's sister Kim Yo-jong.

Choi Young, also romanized as Choe Yeong, was a Korean general born in Hongseong or Cheorwon during the Goryeo period. He became a national hero after he put down the Jo Il-shin (조일신) rebellion. He also participated in the Red Turban Rebellions and later allied with the Ming dynasty to overthrow the Mongol Yuan dynasty. In his final years, General Choe was betrayed and executed by his former subordinate Yi Seong-gye, who founded the Joseon dynasty of Korea, bringing an end to the Goryeo period.

Choe Son-hui is a senior North Korean diplomat. She is the First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and is one of few North Korean women holding a high-level office.

He is honorary vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, the country's parliament.

Choe U was the second Choe dictator of the Ubong Choe Military regime. He himself went out on the battlefield to lead in fighting off the Mongolian invasions. Then he realized that the government was no longer safe at the capital city of Kaesong, and so he forced the king and his officials to flee to Ganghwa island. He took some of his armies and went to Ganghwa island with them. He did this because he knew that the Mongols would not attempt a naval assault against Ganghwa. Therefore, the Goryeo government was kept safe for several decades even after the Choe regime.

Choe Thae-bok is a North Korean politician. He is a member of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Workers' Party of Korea, and was Chairman (speaker) of the Supreme People's Assembly for nearly 21 years, from 1998 to 2019. He was considered an advisor to Kim Jong-il, as well as a popular member of the core leadership.

Choe Deok-sin was a South Korean Foreign Minister who later defected with his wife, Ryu Mi-yong, to North Korea.
