Milton Finger, known professionally and personally as Bill Finger, was an American comic strip and comic book writer best known as the creator, with Bob Kane, of the DC Comics character Batman, and the co-architect of the series' development, who mostly worked as his ghostwriter. Although Finger did not receive contemporaneous credit for his hand in the development of Batman, Kane acknowledged Finger's contributions years after Finger's death.

William Anthony Foulkes was an English footballer who played for Manchester United in the Busby Babes teams of the 1950s, and also in the 1960s. His favoured position was centre-half. For Manchester United, he played 688 games which places him at number 4 on the all-time list of appearances behind Ryan Giggs, Bobby Charlton and Paul Scholes. He made 3 appearances as a substitute. He also started in every single United game in the 1957–58, 1959–60 and 1964–65 seasons. He scored a total of 9 goals in his 18 seasons at United and helped the club win four First Division titles, one FA Cup and one European Cup. He was capped only once for England in 1955.

William Allen Edwards is an American retired professional basketball player. He was a 2.03 m (6'8") tall small forward-power forward. His nickname was "Dollar Bill Edwards".

William Charles Stafford was a professional baseball player who pitched in the Major Leagues from 1960 to 1967. Stafford was a successful pitcher for the New York Yankees from 1961 to 1962, winning a combined 28 games in two seasons. He appeared in the World Series 3 times for the Yankees from 1960 to 1962, and was the winning pitcher in Game 3 of the 1962 World Series versus the San Francisco Giants. In September 2001, Stafford died in his home at the age of 63 of a heart attack.

William Blake Everett was an American comic book writer-artist best known for creating Namor the Sub-Mariner as well as co-creating Zombie and Daredevil with writer Stan Lee for Marvel Comics. He was allegedly a descendant of the childless poet William Blake and of Richard Everett, founder of Dedham, Massachusetts.
