Samuel Levinson is an American director, producer and screenwriter. He is best known as the creator of the HBO teen drama series Euphoria (2019–present), the American adaptation of the Israeli series, for which he earned a BAFTA TV Award nomination.

Jean Vigo was a French film director who helped establish poetic realism in film in the 1930s. His work influenced French New Wave cinema of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Gunasekar is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema. Gunasekhar directed the Children's classic Ramayanam (1997), which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film, including several state Nandi Awards for that year, and was screened at the International Children's Film Festival of India.

Kevin Harwick Tancharoen is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, dancer, and choreographer. On September 29, 2011, New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. announced that Tancharoen would be helming a big-screen adaptation of Mortal Kombat after he created the successful web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy, although he dropped out of the project in 2013.

She won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance for her first feature documentary, Beirut: The Last Home Movie. Her 2010 documentary My Reincarnation had its premiere at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam (IDFA) in 2010, where it won a Top 20 Audience Award.

Silvio Soldini is an Italian film director. Soldini has received 17 awards in his career and 32 nominations as of November 2015. His 2007 film Days and Clouds was selected for the main competition on the 30th Moscow International Film Festival.
