Matilda of Tuscany, was a member of the House of Canossa and one of the most powerful nobles in Italy in the second half of the 11th century.

Cosimo I de' Medici was the second Duke of Florence from 1537 until 1569, when he became the first Grand Duke of Tuscany, a title he held until his death.

Ferdinand III was Grand Duke of Tuscany from 1790 to 1801 and, after a period of disenfranchisement, again from 1814 to 1824. He was also the Prince-elector and Grand Duke of Salzburg (1803–1805) and Grand Duke of Würzburg (1805–1814).

Leopold was recognised contemporarily as a liberal monarch, authorising the Tuscan Constitution of 1848, and allowing a degree of free press.

Archduke Anton of Austria was a Carlist pretender to the Spanish throne. and an Archduke of Austria by birth. In 1919 all titles of nobility and royalty were abolished and outlawed in Austria and Hungary. He was the seventh of ten children born to Archduke Leopold Salvator of Austria, Prince of Tuscany, and Infanta Blanca of Spain, daughter of Carlos, Duke of Madrid.

Joanna of Austria was an Archduchess of Austria. By marriage, she was the Grand Princess of Tuscany and later the Grand Duchess of Tuscany. One of her daughters was Marie de' Medici, second wife of King Henry IV of France.

He was the tenth and youngest child of Archduke Leopold Salvator, Prince of Tuscany and Infanta Blanca of Spain.

Archduke Joseph Ferdinand of Austria was an Austro-Hungarian Archduke, military commander, from 1916 Generaloberst, and early advocate of air power. He later retired to life as a common citizen of Austria, and was briefly imprisoned in Dachau during the Nazi era.

Willa, known as Willa of Tuscany (911/912-970), was a medieval Italian noblewoman. By birth, she was a member of the Bosonid noble dynasty. By marriage to Berengar II of Italy she was Countess of Ivrea from 930 to 963, and queen consort of Italy from 950 to 963.
