Valentin Louis Georges Eugène Marcel Proust was a French novelist, critic, and essayist who wrote the monumental novel À la recherche du temps perdu, published in seven parts between 1913 and 1927. He is considered by critics and writers to be one of the most influential authors of the 20th century.

Caroline Proust is a French classically trained actress best known to international audiences for her role as Captain Laure Berthaud in the French TV series Spiral. She has also appeared in the TV series The Tunnel as well as theatre work including the Tracy Letts play August: Osage County and Game of Love and Chance.
